There are way too many choices for a man to make alone on this when I won't be wearing the shite.

I made her give me an example of 10 different rings she liked on the internet and make a note under each of what she liked about it.

Then I frankensteined all the shite she liked from all the rings into one ring to rule them all.

We can help you pick out the right ring if you post pics of the wife to be.

She narrowed it down to three and I picked from there.

Just buy the biggest princess cut cubic zirconia you can find. That way when she leaves your arse and tries to sell/pawn it, you'll have the last laugh.

No. I'm a real man. She liked what I gave her on my own terms.

I picked it out without any help from her. She loves it.

Can we discuss equality for a moment... They're wearing a diamond that's the equivalent of a new car, and we get stuck with a washer off of a Bourbon Street urinal... how did that happen??

I proposed without a ring first. After she said yes, she got a custom designed ring. Not exactly the most romantic approach but we had talks about getting engaged for six months before I proposed.

Well if you paid for her ring, sounds like you let it happen to yourself.

We went looking together a bit before I actually popped the question. I had an idea of the setting she liked and then I knew the shape of the diamond she preferred. From there I bought the setting and bought a loose diamond that I thought was appropriate for it.

She loves it over 5 years later, so I guess I did alright

Tell her (like adults) that this is a lifetime commitment and we'll pick this bauble out together.

If she resists, explain it to her this way:

"Suppose you want to buy me a cock ring. Do you think I'd need to go with you or would it be a good idea to surprise me with your choice?"

I got engaged when we were in college and "broke". We went together and she picked it out, I have horrible taste in rings. She got an upgrade about 2 years ago.

I knew a guy who had this elaborate proposal set up for a specific day.Well the day is fast approaching and the big ole diamond was not in or ready ( I don't know). Jeweler says "hey, I'll put a cz in there, come back later and swap it out." He never does. Wife turns out to be a poor choice. She leaves him, tries to sell ring. Finds out it's a cz.

Hilarious. Nice to see things work out.

DO NOT BUY YOUR WIFE'S ENGAGEMENT RING OUT WITHOUT HER PICKING IT OUT.
