Oh, for sure. That's a ton of pills, but I imagine those people are in some chronic pain.
I was just surprised, because I had friends say the doctor gave them 5 or 10 pills for their wisdom teeth surgery and I got more than I expected. Nowadays there are a lot of people addicted to pain meds so they aren't as liberal giving them out like they used to be

Over prescription of pain killers is a direct contributor to the amount of heroin ODs among millennials. Once your pain is gone do yourself and your family a favor and flush them down the toilet.

When I had mine taken out, I took the oxys for about a week. Then I realized I was just pretty much taking them for the high. It dawned on me I wasn't in pain....so what was making me want them...

I'm a general dentist who does this procedure every week. Yes, that DOES seem to be more than ample pain killers, but not totally out of the ordinary. Hope your healing progresses nicely.

Navy dentist yanked mine out in boot camp. I got local anesthetic 1 day of light limited duty.

I'm not worried about it, I don't have an addictive personality. It doesn't feel good enough to warrant the risk of spending money and buying them illegally, and losing my job over a drug test. I guess addicts think it is worth the risk but it would never be a problem for me
Although, when I was recovering from knee surgery the summer after high school, I had gone through 3 bottles of prescribed oxycodone. When I ran out, I had a sleepless night of cold sweats. So the stuff is physically addictive.
