I'm looking for a two to three bedroom condo somewhere in Destin this summer (either late May or early August). I've looked on vrbo but I have no clue which areas or properties are nice. I'll be there with the wife and our young kids, so need something with a nice pool and on beach. Thanks in advance.

Check out Pelican Beach Resort online. I always stay there. Great views from the gulf front balconies. They have two bedrooms but not sure about three bedrooms Very popular with families.

With kids? No

Stay on Okaloosa Island, drive to Destin, stay at Azure, family condo is there, nice, clean, new, quiet, drive if you need anything in Destin..... Azure, Waterscape, etc

No, nobody goes to Galveston. It's a literal ghost town.

Stayed on Okaloosa Island last year for the first time. We now prefer it over Destin because it seems more family friendly and it was great with our 3 yr old. Just a short drive to Destin for any dining or shopping.

Destin Gulfgate

Zero entry pool and no crowds on the beach. Right in the middle of everything.

Pics?

Did she bounce back well from the maternity rigors?

This information is helpful in determining the appropriate Destin locale.

In laws used to have a place in Ft. Walton. I think it was called Destin West. Was on the Bay side, but had a skybridge to the Hotel on the beach side and you had the rights to use the hotel pool and beach (hotel is terrible, but you get the beach). Condo itself has its own lazy river and several pools. Far less busy than Destin proper, but only a 5 minute drive to get there.

Haven't been in a few years, but we loved Windancer. Not fancy schmancy OT baller level, but nice enough.

It is pretty far east of Destin proper, but not as far as Sandestin. Low rise, maybe 5 floors. Pool, hot tub, nice grilling area.
