Not about the politics, just the location. Watching all these lines and hoards of people on tv looks like a pretty crappy deal for some people. I vote in a rural precinct. The voting is done in the quaint little 600 sq ft town hall building. You are offered coffee and a donut by some kind elderly women when you walk in. If you decline the coffee and donut the whole process takes about 2 minutes. Today was the busiest I've seen it and I had to wait in a line behind 2 other people. Great place to vote

IIRC, mine is only for three neighborhoods. Pretty quick and the ladies all know my family since everyone lives in the same hood

Small elementary school gym. 2 precincts each split in half by name. I went at 8:30 or so and it was full of housewives. Fortunately there was only me and one other guy in my line. Still had to wait for the girlfriend though.

Archives Building in BR. Never been in there but they had the line going through one of the exhibits that contained plenty of historical documents related to LA. Of course, out of the 100 or so people I saw go through the room, me and only maybe 2 other people actually looked at the stuff and werent playing on our phones.

The whole process took a little more than an hour.

We vote in a Church building. The only difference this time from last is we were in another building, which is their Gym/Student center. They also had coffee and donuts. I grabbed a donut on the way out. In and out in less than 15 minutes. I got there around 7:35. Polls are open 7-7 here.

Horrible. I told the people in line with me, I'll never vote in a presidential election again. I live in most concentrated district in EBR. There were 5 booths. Line wrapped around building. Biggest line had 2 booths. Smaller line had 3 booths. Old people barely able to reset the booths after votes. Over an hour in line.

Should have had a minimum of 10 booths, but 15 would have been more appropriate. Our system is so fricked up and dysfunctional.

Recreation building at the public park in my neighborhood. One line for last names A-K, another for L-Z. A-K line has two machines with 15 people in line, while the L-Z line has three machines with no line. I was in A-K...

That said, took maybe 20-30 minutes - delayed by a few who apparently decided to read the 6 constitutional amendments and 4 tax propositions for the first time when they got in the booth.

Voted today at small church gym in NC. Parked immediately, walked right in. Took 10mins total. Tried to early vote Friday afternoon but the line was out the door and probably would have taken an hour. So I waited until today...glad I did. No donuts or coffee here.

I vote in a JPRD Playground gym about four blocks from my house. Three precincts vote here.
It took about fifteen minutes including the walk both ways.

I literally walked into the courthouse and walked out in less than 10 minutes.

Everyone here early votes.

I voted in a high school gymnasium, and two precincts hold their vote in the same gym.

The used to hold the vote in the library, but with two precincts it was pretty confusing, so they moved it in the last year or so.

I really like the ladies at my precinct. I vote in a predominantly black precinct, so I'm one of the few white men that walks to that side of the gym. They usually remember me and, just like this morning, usually start joking with me as I walk across the gym to them.

Long arse lines.
Disproportionate breakdown of alphabetized lines, too. My line always , Always, has twice as many people in it than the other lines. It's like they break them into 3 lines of A-V,W-X,and Y-Z.

I vote at a local firehouse. I had to wait to get into the parking lot because it was so busy, then wait to get in the door. Once I got into the door it wasn't as bad as most of my precinct (the location services two) votes either at the arse crack of dawn or early. I went around 10 am since I'm off today. It's the first time I've had to wait that long in several years.

You go in, get your ballot (written), do your thing, and then slide it in the machine as you're walking out of the door.
