It was a real long time ago...I do remember the infield grass needed to be trimmed considerably. I tried to beat out a slow roller but I ended getting quick pitched.

I was called up to the bigs just the day before the game, subbed into the 1 spot at last minute to handle a veteran pitcher who was known to bring the big, stinky, cheese. My first at-bat and I almost went for the cycle in one swing before I was caught stealing.

It was as good an arse-whipping as it was a piece of arse.

I didn't care. I was 17 and a real man at last.

Hit a dribbler back to the pitcher.....

3-4 pitch homer to deep right.

I was the kid that got up to bat for my first time and couldn't find home base.

I hit a home run on a check swing.

1st pitch swing, light contact. Infield blooper, ball dropped, outran the throw to first.

Was finally called safe after a nine month review cycle.
