ask you to link the coroner's report that said he did. You went ad hominem because you couldn't link it. I was looking at the Hennepin Co ME's report while I was making the post.
From the medical examiner.
quote:
Handwritten notes of a law enforcement interview with Dr. Andrew Baker, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, say Floyd had 11 ng/mL of fentanyl in his system.
quote:.
If he were found dead at home alone and no other apparent causes, this could be acceptable to call an OD. Deaths have been certified with levels of 3," Baker told investigators
quote:
The documents say Baker performed the autopsy before watching the videos of police restraining Floyd, with Officer Derek Chauvin's knee on Floyd's neck, because Baker wanted to avoid bias in his autopsy.

The video served its purpose which was to trigger mouth breathers and women.

But he didn’t have this. This has been the part that bothered me with the narrative that he overdosed. I don’t care one way or the other from a political stand point but that man who was screaming did not die of fentanyl induced respiratory failure. That’s just not true.

He also had an enlarged heart and 75% blockage in one of his arteries. Along with enough fentanyl to kill a horse. But yeah, it was a knee behind the neck that did him in…

Im not saying the knee to the back did kill him. Im telling you that I have seen hundreds of ODing patients and sedated thousands with fentanyl. You dont go into respiratory depression/distress while screaming.
Recognize that a narrative was made to feed both sides insatiable hunger.
Edit: You also dont die from 75% occlusion of a coronary artery. It has to occlude.

Understand I am not attempting to relitigate the case. I have tried to avoid interjecting opinion. I was responding to this:
quote:
The official coroner report ... says he did.
That is incorrect, the official coroner's report did not say that.
I also corrected the false claim he had 11mg of fentanyl in his system. Drug screens don't include gross volumes they report serum concentrations which are usually nanograms per milliliter. 11 ng/ml was included in the coroner's report along with the rest of the drug screen numbers.
The discussion of what is and what isn't a lethal amount of fentanyl is very tricky. It makes sense to determine 3 ng/ml serum concentration as being an OD if someone is found at home on their sofa with no other potential cause determinable. It is a process of elimination leaving fentanyl as the only possible identified cause. It is also improbable 3 ng/ml would have been fatal for Floyd. Floyd almost certainly had a high tolerance. It is impossible to say 11 ng/ml would have been fatal because of the wide variation in humans even setting aside tolerance. There is also the issue of polydrug interactions. The amphetamines in Floyd's system complicate the determination of his actual COD. The body is put under serious stress with speedballing. There is not a lot of quality studies regarding the actual levels of poly-drug toxicity.
In my worthless opinion, I do not think the fentanyl and amphetamines in Floyd's system would have killed him at home on his sofa. Even if that was an indisputable fact it still doesn't mean Chauvin was guilty of any crime.
My entire point is that if people want to discuss/relitigate the case you have to at least start with accurate facts. The poster I responded to presented incorrect facts any discussion using those facts is irrelevant to the case at bar but one could set up a hypothetical from them but I am not sure what the point would be.

But fentanyl stops you from breathing. There's THAT!

Why don’t all of you who support him go in for a conjugal visit? Or maybe donate to his prison commissary account?
