I get 2 meets and usually 2 cheeses so it can take some dude 5-10 minutes if he's not moving. I don't get many items as I live by myself so I can get the rest of my stuff and come back when it's done.
They're just sitting on top of the counter waiting for me. How the hell is this rude? Even if it takes 1 minute it's not hurting anyone else.

I don't see anything wrong with it. My grocery has a computer in the deli where I enter my order if it's busy. I then go do the rest of my shopping and my deli order is waiting at the counter when I'm done.

Why don't you ask the deli workers instead of us? You might get the exact answer you're looking for.

For the record, that wasn't a "this thread is shite and you shouldn't have started it" comment. It creates an interesting discussion to see how people handle a random event. However, the deli workers will tell you if they think it's rude or not, and it's possible different workers will have differing opinions on it.

Did it today. They take about 5-10 minutes. I can grab many items on my list by then. By the way looks like prices at Target in BR have gone up .
