Deer Valley, UT - anyone been and suggestions for restaurants, bars?

Finally decided on Utah over NM.
Folks that have been to Deer Valley how was it?
No snowboarding so I'll have to get over to Park City at least once for one of our group that loves to snowboard and has actually never skied.
Any suggestions for eateries and bars at the resort and in Park City itself?

We always go to Collie's for a sports bar atmosphere and game watching.
No Name Saloon is a Park City staple.
Oishi Sushi Bar & Grill is good.

Got a three bedroom condo at the Deer Valley Club for free dollars.

Screw no snowboarding. I still cannot believe to this day there are a handful of mountains that do not allow snowboarding. I quit skiing for snowboarding back in the late 80s and have never looked back.
#Snowboardinglivesmatter, time to shut these mountains down and their #SkiPrivilege.

If you want to snowboard, just stay in Park City. No Name Saloon is great.

Just walk up and down Main St... tons of restaurants and bars. You can take the shuttle or there are a couple of free lots. I always park on the south end of Main St. behind the Wasatch Brew Pub... there's also a parking garage on the North end.
There's always at least one snowboarder that fks up going to Deer Valley for me too. Park City Mtn will be cool though... especially since they combined with The Canyons and theres a gondola and trails connecting the resorts.

Free condo in Deer Valley. Will be staying there 'cause free.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We'll check some of them out.
Going to try to do a short snowmobile trip too.

This. I visited this area a few years ago in the summer and Deer Valley looked like a really cool ski resort. We spent a whole afternoon just walking up and down Main street shopping and stopping to drink and eat. I can only imagine how beautiful that area is in the winter, was really pretty in the summer months.

stayed at the Stein Erickson Lodge - most legit place there. Very expensive - only went cause we won a trip. Service is off the chart and the place is fine. Been to Colorado - I'd take Deer valley over anywhere. Awesome Awesome Place! No snowboarding. head over to the olympic village and do the bobsled deal there - awesome.2 years ago

You want me to consider going 90 MPH in a fiberglass tube going down hill on ice around sharp curves?

I would suggest spending more than a day on the Canyons/Park City mountain, especially if you have a snowboarder in your group. Now that it's all connected, it's huge with lots of great runs. However, Deer Valley lift tickets won't work there, so you'll probably want to plan your days ahead of time and purchase the lift tickets separately. Enjoy the trip!

Probably been about 20 times over the last 30 yrs - if you ski at all, DV has some very cool blues, double blues, blacks and bowls. They've now connected PC to Canyons which makes it the largest ski area in the US.
The food on DV mountain is off the charts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apre Ski at DV, take the funicular at the base up to the St Regis, you'll have a great view, they have a killer signature Bloody Mary with wasabi foam and free champagne every evening at sunset.
Ski school at DV is great as well if anyone in your group needs it and they are all about service.
There is a seafood buffet (I know) at the base most nights of the week that is stellar.
For food off mountain, Stein has a great restaurant and then numerous places on Main Street - Chimayo, River Horse, 150 Main, and several others - the food in PC is killer.
Honestly, DV and PC blows away most CO resorts simply due to the ease from SLC - 30 mins on a shuttle - I wouldn't rent a car if I didn't have to, and you probably don't need to; great terrain; killer food options; etc.

Deer Valley not the place to go. Go to The Canyons. More trails and you can board. We go three trips a year since our family lives there.

We will be at the Chateaux in DV for Christmas. When will you be there?
