quote:

“Two people in Florida reported eating some of the salad before the bat was found," reads the agency's notice of an investigation of the incident. The dead bat was turned over to the federal government. “The deteriorated condition of the bat did not allow for CDC to definitively rule out whether this bat had rabies." That sounds bad, though the CDC offers reassurance that the chance of a live rabies virus making its way into the salad is very small.

Did they just start eating it with a fork out of the bag while it was in the basket?

How can an entire bat be in a bag and you don't see it feel it after you use the lettuce in the bag?

Sounds like they paid the regular price and got some free bat. They need to stop the bitching.

I refuse to purchase and/or ingest a damn thing that is 'organic.' I'll take my chances with pesticides, steroids, etc; at least they kill the shite (literally) & generally do not have critters, dead or otherwise, in the packaging along with the food.

Because if they didn't eat any of the salad the value of their law suit against Walmart is substantially less than it is if they ate some before discovering the rat.

Tell us about your experiences with law suits.

Also, do you think the "value of their law suit" is higher with a rat or with a bat?
What about with a rat and a bat?

Would be worth billions if it was a rat and a bat in a hat.

Well generally, want you can recover are limited to your damages. Buying a bad bag of salad is worth about $5... You eat that bag of salad with a bat in it, you get emotional distress, medical expenses (rabies testing and treatment), gross negligence by Walmart, etc...

Nice.

Yes, this seems highly applicable.

gross negligence by Walmart

Wow, that seems like quite a stretch.
Maybe you are an attorney.
