I'm not gonna say this is a casualty of 2016. This is the result of an old woman being devastated that her daughter just passed away and lost the will to live.

Gotta feel bad for Todd. Lose your sister, and the next day your mom dies.
Mom was 84, so it's not like she was a spring chicken, but still sad. Has to be the stress of Carrie's death.

Yep, this was not likely any coincidence. What a killer blow to that family!

Supposedly, the family was over to discuss funeral arrangements when mom had an episode. What a terrible week for that family.

True, but her health has been generally good - good enough that she was working 42 weeks a year fairly recently (2011 and 2012, for sure).

Yeah - coincidences happen all the time, so everyone should believe in them. This isn't one, though. Cause and effect for sure.

A lady with much class and grace that endured to the end. Not much to compare her to these days.
RIP Debbie

My Mom damn near did when my brother died. A loss like that can absolutely cause someone to have a stroke under that stress.

I know a lot of people are being facetious about the 2016 stuff, but you have to admit, it's been a murderer's row for celebrities.

Thanks Rex!

Why are you giving them empathy instead of sympathy?

empathy: the ability to understand and share the feelings of another

sympathy: feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune

As you said Sam, the difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between the lightning and the lightning bug.
