Don't believe everything you read. Did you ever know the guy to be wrapped up in drugs of any kind?

I'm calling BS on that. I just can't fathom that 2 former seals would be shooting drugs. I'm not eve sure what you would shoot other than heroin. Doesn't add up to me.

I dunno man, there's letting loose and then there's injecting illicit drugs. I could see beer/alcohol but those guys and heroin just doesn't add up.

You edited to change "Marines" to "Seals". So the same Marines and Seals died? And it's heroin.

families should be able to have tests done to determine if there were drugs in the system at a lethal dose. then , you just need to look for signs of coercion.

Not unfathomable that they would shoot-up while away from the family. Time spent in country has introduced many to the white horse.

I'm so glad you busted him on that.

Outside of folks that live in the San Diego area, I really don't know anyone that KNOWS alot of seals in general. 'Course, that may be where he lives for all I know.

It's not a stretch for average Joe's like me to find it very hard to believe that two people who, at one time in their lives, demonstrated an almost super human amount of self control/reliance/guts - whatever you choose to call it - would accidentally kill themselves on heroin.

I'm sorry. I just don't buy that.

They are human beings with faults just like the rest of us. You should read Fearless, the Adam Brown story.

Update

So, two 44yr old men are sitting in a ship cabin. Both do hard drugs with needles then both die.

Man that just sounds like bullshite.

While I'd love to believe this isn't what they say it is, the fact is that a lot of these guys do turn to drugs (even heroin).

They go from being in a situation where they're doing nightly raids, killing on a regular basis, and just being bad arse in general; then, they get put back in the real world and they have no way of slowing down. They can't talk about it and there aren't many people readily available that can relate. Not to mention their bodies are usually beaten to shite after multiple tours and they've likely had docs giving them whatever they ask for... pain pills, Adderall, sleep-aids, etc. When that ends they go to the street.

That's why these guys were out working as private military contractors in Africa to begin with.

Its sad and it frickin sucks but the sad truth is, its possible.
