Day Light Savings explained

When can we stop with this outdated concept that has no place in the modern world? Any one know where economists stand on this? Has anyone studied to see if eliminating DST will cause a net economic benefit to society?

It's a very simple concept most people don't get. Because people are dumb. Take any thread about it on the OT.. Half the posters don't know which is which.

We should have it year round. Getting dark at 5 PM is misery.

I agree with Jim. I get way more shite done in the spring under DLS. Having 3-4 hours of sun light left when I get home is outstanding.

I would prefer DLST in the winter and Standard in the summer....

Who wouldn't want DST year round? Who wants to be inside at 530 every evening getting ready for bed cause it's dark.
