On that last page I predicted PJs response would be:

quote:

Looks like you are a PUNKOLA that wants to PLAY! Your face WILL meet and eat the CONCRETE boy!

His actual response:

quote:

ANYTIME PUNK..........I WILL SLAM you into the concrete you COWARD................

History class is like the only class you can't have a natural affinity for. You can't just naturally pick up history. Of course you studied, and probably a lot.

I have had a natural affinity for history from a very early age and I have always naturally picked up on it quite quickly and more importantly, I retain it.

This may sound odd to you but we each have our own talents. History is mine. But on the other hand I always hated and struggled with English and I'm a horrible speller.

Your spelling is almost perfect, what are you talking about?

Maybe you are just good at memorization.

Because I'm very self conscious about my spelling and unlike history, I do rely on Google spell check in virtually every post I make on here.

That's not the point. You can naturally understand a lot about math. It is impossible to naturally know anything about history. It's all just memorization of facts or theories; none of that information can just naturally be in your head.

You studied a lot and got a good grade. I don't know why you're bothered about that.

I was part of the invasion.... in 1991, not 2003.

You're setting such a good example for your illegitimate grand baby. I'm sure he/she will carry on the Dukke family tradition of being white trash.

That is really the only logical way he could have a "natural affinity for history" and if he did have one he would be able to remember how to spell words and also be an expert on a wide variety of subjects, kind of like Ken Jennings.

The reason I was able to pass my 9th Grade history class is that (1) I am excellent at memorization and (2) had already studied everything that course covered years beforehand. I had two sources, one was the school library which I was always checking out books and reading them in rapid order and my other source was my older brother who went through that class two years ahead of me. He barely made it through but what he did for me was provide a text book that I could and did read. Thus by the time I actually got to the class, I already knew virtually everything that was going to be covered that year.

Yes, before I ever got to 9th grade. I never claimed that God just opened my mind and interested history knowledge. I spent countless hours as a kid at night laying in bed reading books. I read everything from encyclopedias to history books. Anything I could read about history and especially military hardware of the 20th century, I did.
