Wrapping up the WW1 series.

Unreal. Feel like I've gone through a college course on WW1.

why are people downvoting you? Maybe move or copy to book board, where there are fewer dipshits.

how was Destroyer? I'm about to start it for a couple road trips.

Very deep. Very detailed.
Makes you think about a lot of different thinks.

It's long, so I hope you got time.

I thought it was great. I think I broke it up into 3 nights, it's 6 hours long.

I'm thinking his next few will be back to a series instead of a 'blitz'

I know some ppl didn't think it was his best. But I really enjoyed his last one. Really got me thinking about alternate history and some of the decisions made in the mid 20th century

I think it just depends on what interest you the most. Also it was more recent history and stuff a lot of us have free up hearing about...

I enjoyed the way he presented it all and made you think how times have changed over the last 75 years or so.

And I don't know why I never thought of it like this, but how he brought up if Truman wouldn't have dropped the bomb and the public would have found out after the war that we put all those resources and manpower into building that bomb and he didn't use it to end the war sooner, he would have been completely skewered by Americans.

Hard for me to pick a favorite series, but it may be Wrath of Khans.

King of Kings was really good but you could just tell that he just didn't have much of actual historical record to go on. Sometimes only Herodotus, but I like the topics that aren't as often covered in depth.

i considered doing the Dark Tower series on audiobook (some 140 hours) for this summer's journeys--that's how much driving i'm doing.

Atlanta to Columbia, back to Atlanta, BACK to Kiawah, back to Atlanta, to Baton Rouge, San Antonio, Santa Fe, Basalt, Boulder, Denver airport, Boulder, Jackson Hole, Missoula, Seattle, Missoula, Stillwater, MN, Nashville, Atlanta.

I could start over from the beginning of Carlin and still get through it!
