First, let me say I'm totally for legalization and alternative medicine where appropriate. That said, what would you do if you're a Dr and a patient's family member came in and started giving them..."stuff." You don't know the provenance, you don't know the formulation. You don't even know if it's what he says it is.

This time it's cannabis, and everybody's for it. Next time it might be somebody who believes making their kid drink chicken blood will help them.

Did the hospital overreact? Sure seems like it. But the situation may not be quite as cut and dried as it appears.

Chicken blood and pot are a hell of a lot less toxic than chemo. This is stupid. The dad didn't do a GD thing "wrong".

frick it, y'all are right. Let this little shite suffer. Yay docs and cops.

Nobody's saying that. It's just that I'm not real sure what else may have been going on here.

That sucks but why would you give your kid illegal drugs?

I have to assume he didn't have any other options. Marinol and sativa may not have worked for the child. Maybe the doctors wouldn't prescribe it. Maybe the child required a much higher level of CBD than she could get from sativa. Obviously the parent felt he had no other alternative. And he probably though no one would be retarded enough to arrest him for trying to save his child.

Sounds like he only gave her CBD oil which would not make her high unless it also had THC in it. Has almost no side effects and is cheap. Can be bought online.

Sounds like the dad and mom are separated and don't get along. Sounds like it was the mom that turned him in:

‘He basically drugged her with hash oil because he thought it was going to cure her…and now he’s been charged with it and is out on bail,’ Ms Maujean said.

‘On top of everything else I have that as well and he has made things so much worse.’

Your ignorance is a plague upon humanity. In laymens terms: you are fricking retarded.

So impressively fricking retarded you are, the depth and magnitude of your fricking retardation so profound, the saturation with fricking retardation so thorough, your every pathetic thought is crippled from its feeble fricking retarded inception.

Apparently you've never had to deal with anyone from HR in a large corporation. HR = slime of the earth!

I didn't say the doctors didn't try...not the same thing

folks around here are deaf dumb and blind when it comes to medical, that's their problem, not mine....their perception needs a coldshot of reality
------------------

AMA found guilty of racketeering three times
In America, we call it a "repeat offender," and usually THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT, and so that person gets life in prison or execution in some states. But corporations, federal commissions, regulatory agencies and politicians simply pay fines, settle out of court, or get pardoned. The American people, for the most part, are so oblivious to medical corruption that even when the BIG CATS do get busted red-handed for quackery and racketeering, they still go right back to the same doctors for magic pills, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, believing there's some miracle cure for their bad diet and learned helplessness.

hahahaha sorry to take off the rose colored glasses you have...you are likely an honorable man, doing his best to help those in need, but you work inside a system where you never lifted the carpet nor ever suspected anything wrong...

but you know, you cannot step outside the protocols and cure someone of cancer, the big bad wolf will come a calling and they'll have you for lunch.

and so, you never asked yourself WHY? why would they threaten to pull my license? well my friend, that's on you for never asking them hard questions.

remeber the old man Hoxsey, he was curing folks of cancer, the AMA came in and chewed up Hoxsey [ youtube , when healing becomes a crime ] he was messing with the potential profits of the docs who had treatments for cancer. did they say they were protecting profits outloud? heel no, they just fabricated charges of quackery and the typical ama smear job...sorry man, the folks you work for are not too nice...wake up and smell the coffee...

good day sir...

it means he's in shock...still trying to deal with it...he likely didn't try to verify comments one way or the other

You're talking about corporate medicine, which doctors are caught in the middle of. Profits are being made by Big Pharma, insurance companies and corporate-structured hospitals. Doctors are getting royally fricked in the process.

Please get your facts straight before spewing such garbage.

ETA: It was the hospital that ratted out the dad. They were covering their arse (insurance, liabilities, etc.). Another example of corporate medicine's priority in profit over medical care.

It was pretty stupid for this guy to give his kid dangerous narcotics, especially if she was sick

Good thing we have you to tell us what is a dangerous drug and what isn't.
