Seems they are trying to turn the corner so to speak in Louisiana. They seem to be building more "move up" homes instead of the starter homes. River Ranch, Long Farm, Sugar Mill Pond.

As far as cookie cutter--not as cookie cutter as DSLD.

National builder, they have a business model they stick with and that is turn out a high volume of houses as cheap as possible as quick as possible. You should be able to figurenit out from there

I actually live in a Horton home - unlike the majority here who don't.

My value is about 25K more now from when I moved in 10 years ago. Warranty covered a bad pipe once in an upstairs bathroom and they replaced boards outside the house and garage that were cracking. They always answer the phone when I call too.

So, I've never had a problem. Oh, and our home is the only one like it in our neighborhood - not a cookie cutter at all.
