The 23-year-old Santa Cruz woman was arrested by Capitola police for allegedly being under the influence of drugs on Sept. 25, 2015. She also had bench warrants for failing to appear in court.
Deluca died while in custody just four days later.

I believe benzos withdrawals can be fatal. I've always heard opiate withdrawals won't actually kill you, they'll only make you wish you were dead.

You have any idea the amount of fluids a addict loses through vomiting and diarrhea? If she had a serious addiction and just left alone and not givin fluids then hell yes you could die.
