I'm not one to shite on where people choose to live but El Paso and parts of New Mexico would be where I would begin.

El Paso is so much better. More culture. and you live in the safest city in the country instead of what can be America's version of a third world country at times. Nola has Mardi Gras though, and is closer to the coast.

But I'd rather drive the 10 hrs from El Paso to San Diego over the Florida panhandle anyway

I actually like New Orleans, I just find the NOLA is better than (insert anything here) crowd ridiculous
