El Paso is so much better. More culture. and you live in the safest city in the country instead of what can be America's version of a third world country at times. Nola has Mardi Gras though, and is closer to the coast.
But I'd rather drive the 10 hrs from El Paso to San Diego over the Florida panhandle anyway
