Wow, please drive that old hunk of crap a little faster.

I can't believe people 'invest' money into these old, extremely poor styled, vehicles. Once these old arse people are dead no one will ever buy these things.

Can I short the custom classic car market?

Good call. Usually the price of things goes down as the supply goes down. When you find out how, let me know.

The old arse people want them to tinker with. The younger ones still want them to have that car dad had or it's "vintage". There's an even smaller supply of cars in good enough condition for these younger collectors. The prices continue to go up on the originals while the "kit" cars and ratrods are going down.

I think the market trends since evolving away from Horse/Buggy would disagree.

Maybe you're that one brilliant dude that sees it coming?

The 'younger' collectors are in their 50s...you think people who are in their 30s are ever going to want this garbage (when/if they ever aquire the money)?

Very few of these cars have timeless style.

True and false at the same time.

A bunch of folks long for the good old days and antique cars from their adolescence are part of this process.

So people aged 50-75 are doing this in 2016 for the model year cars when they were 15-20 years-old.

That equals 1956-1981 model year cars.

So in twenty years from now, you won't see many '56 Chevys but you'll see more 80s and 90s year model cars and the new "old arse people" with be gumming up traffic in Citations and Regals.

Thirty years ago there were many more Model Ts and Model As at these things. You don't see nearly as many 10s-40s cars as you did 20 years ago.

tl/dr: Natural aging demographics.

You drive around in that with a horrible car show t-shirt on? Good to know that the guy who created Big Johnson t-shirts still has a job.
