Is it? I thought they had moved away from it some.

I thought they had a pretty good and thriving tech industry now.

I know Austin and the tech industry there is great but Dallas is up there too or working towards it anyway.

30-$50 more spent on gas a week won't break me

This is my take. I don't mind paying the extra bucks if it keeps this region from going into the shitter in the level of the 1980's.

My job is safe, to a certain level, so at this point I would rather not see my taxes and crime rise due to unemployment.

The extra $20 a week likely won't change much in my life.

Providing gas for family of four.....monthly gas savings are about $480.

Screw big oil...they will be back to rape us soon.

Thanks for the prayers, today is my last day. Laid off due to oil prices. We laid down a rig last week and are looking at 2 more in the next 2 months.

The wife and I are both in healthcare, not sweating it. Love this cheap gas, though

People don't understand how an economy works. Oil was down significantly yesterday and the DJIA was off almost 2%.

Ask people in healthcare in Houma or Morgan City how immune they were to cheap oil in the 1980s.

more disposable income for people

This is good news for the USA and the world, in general.

Ironic that the DJIA didn't feel that way yesterday.

My monthly gas bill from $400 to $250 is pretty good for me.

how about you complain about consumer goods that went up in price due to the oil prices but have yet to return to lower levels with the decline of oil... but yes, it's big bad oil that is screwing you

How many of you people bitching about losing your jobs due to falling oil prices were on here two years ago bitching at me for complaining about the sequester and how it affected my parents?

Everyone's fine and dandy until the threat of being laid off actually falls upon them.

There is truth to that statement. Hundreds, thousands of lawyers have lost their jobs in the last 6 years and people here jeered at it.

It can go low enough to cost you your job.

lol, not everyone's job is reliant on oil prices.

mine, for instance, is 100% safe.
