I've never heard the explanation for this. Would love to hear it though

Goddamn you really are a retard. You actually think this is how evolution works, huh?
No, you fricking moron. That's how abiogenesis would have had to have worked. Evolution doesn't speak to origins.
But thanks for the confirmation on who the idiot in the thread is

That's not how abiogenesis would have to have happened. The first organisms would be prokaryotes which reproduce asexually through binary fission.
Unlike the process of mitosis used by eukaryotic cells, binary fission takes place without the formation of a spindle apparatus in the cell. The single DNA molecule first replicates, then attaches each copy to a different part of the cell membrane. When the cell begins to pull apart, the replicated and original chromosomes are separated. The consequence of this asexual method of reproduction is that all the cells are genetically identical, meaning that they have the same genetic material (barring random mutations).

Honestly I don't get why people care so much about evolution or whatnot in the first place
Posted on 6/26/17 at 6:43 pm to TbirdSpur2010
Because for whatever stupid reason, people feel like it's an attack on their faith and it's just sad
Posted on 6/26/17 at 6:48 pm to DavidTheGnome
bruh, why you bringing that science shite up in here? this is the OT. you might as well be speaking Japanese.

If you're going to call somebody an idiot at least don't be wrong.

It's ridiculous. I'm as Christian as the day is long and never saw the need to get wrapped around the axle about the origin of the universe.
We're here now. WGAS. Make something of the future.

yeah, they think it's an attack on them. but i always tell people they can accept evolution and still be christians.
we actually have evidence of speciation and people will yell and scream and pretend they don't hear. but they do. i think those are the least faithful of them all.

the premise is logically flawed from the get go. two people with no knowledge of good and evil. god tells them not to do something, but they do it. having no knowledge of good and evil, being disobedient means absolutely nothing to them. he loves them but punishes them anyways.
case closed, the end, no reason for me to read any further.

Well, Noah was inspired by God to build it. So, Ken...?

Thank God we don't live in a country where we're brainwashed into thinking they aren't. Today's theocracies are nowhere I'd want to travel to, let alone live.
