It's a scam. The guy who live across the street from me did it with a woman from the Pacific Islands. She eventually came here and stayed the mandated two years. Then, she accused him of domestic violence. Got an injunction and cleaned him out. She has people lined up locally to help her in the process. It was a total scam and he lost a shitload of money. He was heartbroken.. I felt bad for the guy.

It is not. Friend married an exchange student from Germany here on a 4 yr visa. They have been married for 3 years now, together 7 years, and have a 6 month the old child. She applied before the Trump admin and just received here green card 2 months ago. It is extremely lengthy

I just asked another co-worker about it. Apparently, the Chinese woman has been putting off coming to the US. And he thinks it is because he didn't own a house. He thinks she willl come now after he closes on their new home. Also, she is from a small rural place in China. And she would have to travel thousands of miles to get to the place in China where she can be interviewed for a visa. This does not make sense. He is sending her money anyway. He can send the exact amount to cover her travel costs.

At my old job, a couple of guys(around 50yrs old) married Catholic Phillipine girls that were about 20yrs younger.

As far as I know after over 10yrs, still married with children. They just stayed at home, cook, clean and watch the kids.

He is getting scammed. My ex originally came over here on an arranged marriage. The process shouldn't take that long for China even though visas can be complicated.

Here is how the scam works. They ride him for the monthly check as long as they can. If he keeps paying, she will stay there. When he finally demands she come to the US she will. She will cook, clean and occasionally give up the goods while she gets her Permanent Status. Once that happens, she stops having sex with him and petitions to get her family admitted to the US. Once they are here, she filed for divorce and takes half his shite. Seen this before from two of my coworkers. Same exact scenario.

This is what your friend needs to do, go get a lawyer and talk to whoever in the state department you need to in order to get her to visit. If she won't visit, stop the money.

You need to help your friend out, seriously. Don't imply its a scam you simply need to tell him to take a couple important steps.

I'd also tell him he needs to have a lawyer take a look at the marriage docs, chances are they are fake.

I have been in contact with Lord High Prince Akamoura in Lagos, Nigeria. He advises that he will be able to assist. He simply needs a modest retainer of $5,000.00. If your friend is interested, let me know and I will provide the Western Union information where he can send the retainer. God Bless.

An ex is a Catholic filipina. Very close knit community, no matter where they are. We would go to all these parties and that is all it was. All of these old white trash guys (not saying your friends were, just these guys), including her father in law, who went over there, or had it arranged, got married to them, and are faithful to this day. I imagine they are a bunch of perverts, but the ladies seemed happy and basically appeared to be in some type of business relationship. No idea what their sex life was like, or if it was existent, but all of them had been together long term. If you are gonna do something like this, it appears the Philippines is the way to go.

Get him into group therapy.

Hearing that they are taking him for a sucker from 4 other people once week, will eventually force him to get an annulment. Most states let you annul if the other person wont do cohabitation.
