He lived in Beau Rivage and was quiet (even after the MTV show). I believe his mom was the only one living there, but it was very close to a couple of friends

Yeah, he's a Mandeville guy. Graduated from Mandeville High. Went to school with him. He was a cool guy in high school. He was (is) a very talented guy. Used to recite some cool poems to the school. He was also a very down to ear guy. Seemed to like everyone and everyone like him. Not surprised by his success.
Duke lived in Beau Rivage.
His full last name is Vonkurnatowski (I can see why he shortened it for show biz) and his parents are big in New Orleans. They own the Orpheum Theater and Tipitinias.
Yup.
I knew him fairly well in highschool. We were in the YMCA jr leaders or some shite like that our freshman year to get a free membership over there so I used to pick him up or bring him home from time to time. I bumped into him back in his MTV haydays In Mandeville and he came out to a couple bars with us. He was always a pretty cool guy.

Wylie, we may know some of the same people. I was two years ahead of Theo, 1 behind his older brother. I was in C.J. Schoen and William Pitcher with him before he moved.
Was definitely the class clown.
Did you stay in Covington Schools?

I saw him do stand up back in the day at the funny bone (Maybe opened for Pauly Shore or Chris Porter) and he was ok. I watched him on TV the other night and his new way of speaking made me turn it off?

Netflix special is pretty damned funny.
Me and my wife went to the taping sat on the front row, I'll have to check it out. I didn't think his show was very funny but he did have a few funny lines. The dude that opened for him "Red Bean" was much funnier.

That's odd, his special was taped at the Civic Theater

He was at Rusty Nail Friday night. He's in NOLA a lot.

He probably has to go wherever Netflix sends him.

He said they wanted him to tape it in L.A. He said he would only do it if he it could be filmed in NOLA.

Considering the bit about the Northshore and Mississippi jokes, it makes sense.
