At the same time, if I didn't, I'd make fun of this guy's subpar songwriting. A guy in the sticks bitching about a fat person buying fudge rounds w/ government cheese? Of course, that isn't what he's singing about, but that's exactly my point. Take out a few on the nose lines and you have a powerful song. Until then it sounds like someone on the OT wrote this.

Nobody is defending those in Washington.

I was polite earlier, but since a lot of yall don't get it, the writing is trash. Great voice, great sound, the lyrics are almost satire they're so specific to his personal beliefs. Good writing does more than rile up those who already hold the viewpoint; it brings people to the table who may not have agreed in the first place.

I agree that the politicians in DC are corrupt. We need a complete system overhaul. Yes, food stamps should not be used to buy little debbies and soda. I agree with everything this guy is saying.

At the same time, if I didn't, I'd make fun of this guy's subpar songwriting. A guy in the sticks bitching about a fat person buying fudge rounds w/ government cheese? Look at it like this, the BS in our society is to the point that it needs to be directly called out. We are well past the point of needing allegory telling us we're probably heading in the wrong direction. We've already arrived and the songwriter, and millions of others) are tired of it.
