i think we can all agree that a man and woman of the same size have different levels of strength. I don't think that Rousey would last a round with this Neer guy. Smaller guys kick bigger guys arse all the time, and in this case, the martin guy wasn't even a fighter, just a dumbass.

I love these guys that actually think she has a chance against men bigger than her. It's pretty much accepted that Serena Williams would get handled by just about any decent male college tennis player. Most state champion male high school hoops teams would mop the floor with a WNBA team. Yet, it's in the ring (where speed, strength, explosion and savagery are premium) where a woman is all the sudden going to close the gender gap? Please.

You're comparing apples to apples (i.e., female athletes to males athletes in the same field). Ronda versus your average male in a MMA fight is not the same. Most males (a) haven't been in a fight since high school and (b) aren't in fight shape.

with a weight class restriction not present in those other sports. That's massive. The top woman fighter of any weight class would be a more fair comparison in keeping with the best women in the world being comparable to elite high schoolers or decent collegiates.

I love when you guys start this thread (happens every few months) then get mad when a few guys who outweigh this woman by 50 or more pounds give themselves a chance. I'm 6' and weigh almost 200 lbs. So, with that in mind, I think it's safe to say that among MMA trained fighters, Rousey wouldn't competitive with a man until he was about 110 pounds. Even then, it's a maybe.
So, forget who can beat her. I ask again, if I brought a guy in roughly the size of a seventh grader and pitted him against a guy the size of an NFL WR, how well trained do you figure the mighty might needs to be such that u bet on HIM!
