This. Is your wife 12 years old? What kind of grown woman wants a giant stuffed teddy bear. Get her jewelry or gift certificates to her favorite salon/spa.

Go back next weekend. Will be some returns.

Not knocking your gift idea. It is actually great idea. You get the credit for it and it is likely going back and you can get something else. She is going to take photos and post them and will love it for a few a days.

Definitely not saying you are doing anything wrong at all. Great gift and a good move on your part.

Just drive around in the poor parts of town. I'm sure you will see numerous Mexicans selling all kinds of cheap, obnoxious Valentine day crap....including giant bears.

They were out in full force today on my drive home from work. Must have seen at least 10 different ones set up on a corner in front of a Circle K or some other store with balloons and giant V day gift baskets.

Does she like cooking? I've got one of those cookbooks from the tasty facebook page, very heartfelt (but generic) note typed into it and no names that I need to unload

Dude, They sold these at the Costco in Sugar Land last year. Saw people getting them and wondered what they were thinking. Next time at Costco there was an oriental couple bringing one back. They had that look on their face like "we didn't think this out before we got it home".

Haha I saw someone doing this last year too

Are you really thinking of buying her a big bear? I always thought that was some middle school type shite.

If you're trying to stay on the lower priced side, buy her a nice piece of silver jewelry or something. Maybe a necklace from the silver sun, or whatever the name is.

I saw a few of these on Saturday in Baton Rouge and when I came back into town. They can get away with it on the weekend but they crack down on them on the weekdays because they are usually illegally selling it, but nurse.. Would you be happy if your husband came home with a gift he bought on side of the road from some Mexican?

My wife isn't a money grubber. It's more about the thought, outrageousness, or silliness of the gift.

I got her a vacuum cleaner for her birthday one year and she was fricking ecstatic

Well, shite. How'd you end up with a woman like that? Lucky bastard.

Oh, and this is the OT. We'll need pics of your wife just so we can see what size bear she'll need and we can then direct you to the proper place to buy it.

I would laugh and ask him how much was it. I'm always curious how much they sell that crap for.

I'd also be scared the bear had bedbugs. The people selling those thing look a step above homeless.

Costco Giant Bear

$300.00 for the giant bear. Just remember, each year you gotta back up the "giant" themed presents. If you don't, she'll start complaining how you're gifts are no longer good.
