everyone I've ever met from Monroe lists their favorite all time restaurants

Johnny's Pizza
McDonalds

Nobody from Monroe above the age of 12 has ever said that.

You will hear Johnny's, but almost everyone always says:

Waterfront Grill
Warehouse #1
Cotton
Mohawk

Heck, this was the talk of Monroe for a while. Wasn't Chuck Redden even in on the shite talking on the radio?

Never heard any of these rumors but his food is excellent. He's won several competitions.
Last night's episode wasn't his best but I still don't understand how he got sent home over the woman whose food they couldn't even taste because she cross contaminated everything by not washing her hands after handling raw chicken. After Jay Ducote didn't win last year...it's definitely rigged.

When he was at Cotton it's was great. You can tell he's left because the food and service have gone to crap.

I know that Doe's and Greenville, MS go hand in hand but you got to add them to this list. Their steaks are off the hook and they have an awesome whiskey selection. Also add Genusa's as well. Some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten.

If somebody talks trash about grub in Monroe, they either have no taste buds or are just talking shite.

I haven't lived in Monroe in 14 years. When I visit, I typically hit the old spots that I miss from college, or places that are recommended to me. I'll keep those in mind for next time.

Sage has been around for a while, it's basically old crewe from Canards started it. The chef from Sage went over to Bayou Roux, it's pretty new. Haven't been there yet but the menu looks good.

Also good restaurants - Fat Pelican, A Taste of India, Braizn, Fat Mamma's, Pickle Barrel, Cormier's, Athena's

Iron Cactus

Iron Cactus is a chain. We have a few here in Dallas. It's pretty good and the margaritas are solid. There's WAY better Tex-Mex out there, but not in Monroe.

I mean, Ernesto's was ok, but it's gone. What was next best? Chile Verde?
