I have a homelite chainsaw and its been fine for the three times Ive used it in 5 years or so. If you get a battery powered saw, the batteries will prob go bad from sitting for so long due to such little use.

It's harder to juggle the corded ones. Only real difference.

Not looking to fight with a gas powered chainsaw b/c it's been sitting up for 9 months and won't start.
I've had some sitting up longer than that will start up by 3rd pull. Of course, I'm a real man though.
By the time you purchased that 2nd one, you could have owned a real one for the same price.

Don't listen to these hardasses
I have a serious yard that borders the woods and I own all types of chainsaws.
I have a quality gas chainsaw, a battery-powered pole, a corded small saw, etc.
When I want to make two cuts, a gas saw is just overkill, even if I can get it to start quickly.
Go inside smelling like gas fumes for 5min of cutting

as mentioned earlier the 40 V Kobalt series from Lowes is jam up. Battery lasts very long but I would have a spare charged and ready. You can buy all kinds of attachments for it. Also 5 year warranty.
