When I was a kid I could never understand why the bus driver had a seat belt but none of the kids had one.

They did this on LSU Ave last week. Thank goodness that are showing a presence in the crime ridden parts of town

The reason they don't do it in the bad parts of town is that the tickets won't ever get paid and they just waste money and resources doing it. I have had a few cops tell me that exact thing.
Key word = money
Eta: Basically it is okay for poor, crime-ridden areas to do illegal things, but the affluent parts of town can't even drink and drive nowadays

They are obviously checking for more than just seatbelts. I saw them jerk a guy out of his truck around 9am and handcuff him. Dude seemed a bit drunk. Must have not wanted to step outside the vehicle for his little "walk a straight line" test.

They need to do more seatbelt checks because I see crumb snatchers jumping around in cars at red lights every day.

I like to the live on the edge, screwing over the BRPD on the reg. For example, my inspection sticker expired in January and I just got a new one TODAY. Ohhhh yeah, suck it BRPD.
