well, when the video is the only evidence to use (prior to Lester posting the fb shite) are you supposed to assume something else happened when you really have no clue?

I would suggest not assuming anything. Believe half of what you see and none of what you read.

the man getting arrested was slamming the cop in the door forcefully.

Is that not assault? Remember, this was before the cop touched him.

Not if the cop had no right to be there in the first place.

Well by that account, the cop in the video is screwed, since we arent to believe the FB comments, and if half that video is true, the cops there illegally.

The guy should have just surrendered like the person videoing told him to. He got his point across and had it on video. Obviously, the cop wasn't backing off. If he was soooo scared of being shot why did he keep resisting?

Did the officer have enough proof to make an arrest?

What are you talking about? I haven't read the report but it appears that they were called out for a disturbing the peace violation, from the FB page, and when he tried to talk to the guy he ran away and assaulted the officer. I wasn't there so I don't know whether things went down that way or not but policeman generally don't act like imbeciles when they KNOW someone is directly behind them video taping everything.

if that girl is to be believed, he responded to their call, so he had every right to be there.

But of course he did according to both the news story and the FB page. I guess it is possible that he just showed up there and was not dispatched to handle a disturbing the peace call but I believe that is unlikely. Are you the guy that claims he was once a cop?

I was at a house once and five Kenner Cops just came in. No warrants. They made us all sit in the kitchen and then they went through the house. Found a bag of weed in one room and two tabs in another. The brother who owned the tabs like a moron signed this paper the cops gave him and was arrested. The brother with the weed, refused to sign and nothing happened.

I remember the lady cops saying "Kenner passed a law that all we need is suspicion and we can enter a house" I could have stopped them and stood up to it, but I had a bench Warrant in Orleans at the time and didn't feel like eating Bologna sandwiches all weekend.

Do you get into long winded discussions while trying to control a resisting subject and your adrenaline is pumping? Wouldn't it be better to secure the subject and talk to him after everything has calmed down?

Like I said it depends if he was there legally or not, if he or anybody else illegally tried to gain entry to a home, being hit with the door to keep him out wouldnt be assault...arent you a cop??

I guess he is rightfully charged with resisting a bullshite arrest after the cop barged his way into the apartment.

I thought you had to be notified why you were being detained.

At least the officer didn't shoot his dog.

Did they see drug activity from outside of the home or smell the weed from under the door? Even if they did act outside of the law that has absolutely nothing to do with this instance.
