Knew I should have gone and got my gun last week. If I don't get it back I'm going to be pissed.

I believe it's BRPD that are there
If that is the case then think Burglary or some type of other crime happened in the place. If ATF is there then think some shenanigans with gun dealing, licensing, etc.
Of course, ATF will usually bring along one or two marked local units when they are doing something just for public appearances sake. Can anyone with an eye on the place say if it is mainly marked police cars or just one or two with a bunch of unmarked cars around?

Even if it was a burglary I'm thinking that if the ATF isn't there already they will be soon.
You're talking about a place with NFA firearms.

True but there will be a difference in response based on who owns the scene.
At this point it doesn't matter though. Everyone will be cleared out except the investigators anyway.
Now that I think about it, I would lean towards burglary. They like to hit places like this on long holiday weekends so the crime isn't discovered until Monday. Not to mention, you can make all the noise you want on the Fourth without anyone thinking anything.

It was a robbery. Last night.
He had some machine guns in there. Watch out north Baton Rouge!

Burglary = no one was there and someone broke in.
Robbery = someone was there and they came and took the guns by force.
I am betting you mean burglary?

Police are investigating another burglary at a Baton Rouge gun store.
Detectives said firearms were taken from Meaux Guns on Mammoth Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday.
They have not yet determined how many guns were stolen or if the thieves got away with any ammunition for the weapons.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to help identify the suspects.
Last month, three masked men broke into Bowie Outfitters on Perkins Road.
Detectives said they do not know whether the two incidents are related.
Anyone with information about either break-in is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.

Ha. I guess
Break In would be nothing was stolen.
Burglary is a break in and theft of items inside.

It's obvious they had to break in pretty early so they could still make it to their jobs on time.

Why does a large gun shop in NBR have an entire exterior wall built of glass? What a bunch of morons.

Gotcha. The following quote which was posted earlier in the thread threw me off.
[]Joe has nothing to do with Red Jacket and Red Jacket is still in business.[/]
