I don't get if he was pissed that kids were rushing the field or he was pissed because his favorite soccer team lost (doubtful).

I've seen cops trying to stop students rush the field (Oxford last year ), but none of them were THAT intent on stopping people.

This is one of those indefensible situations where I don't think anyone could make a case for him keeping his job. I'm sure he'll find a way though.

He needs to look for another job.

True, but I would imagine he was hired to protect the players and NOT let fans on the field.

Wouldn't he be fired if one of those fans would have stabbed one of the players?

The tripping was lazy and I agree his arse is fired....sad though, it's why he was hired

You can't expect one cop to stop an entire side from rushing the field.

And btw, it's a high school soccer game. Who cares if fans rush the field after the game. If the cop was trying to prevent people from rushing the field he has no grasp of context.
