I continue to be amazed at the stupidity of cop defenders. Anyone else does this, they end up in jail for life. Cop does it and he had a right to feel threatened.

There was absolutely no possible reason to feel threatened. HE WAS WALKING AWAY AND NO WEAPON WAS SEEN!

As I've said before, I don't know who is nutier, cops or cop apologists.

I agree about the article being slanted, this is the part where they writer takes a few liberties.

I'll take the cops side on this one easily. Guy obviously heard cop as he turned around and faced the cop when he yelled at him. First instinct should be to put hands up and he kept them hidden. Thank the cop for saving our tax dollars.

"Nah fool", leaves hands in pockets. I'm not saying he deserved to die, but what do you expect?
Also, why were the cops there?

She says, "Between 10:30 and 11, I turned the light off upstairs. I heard a car coming up the driveway really fast, and I looked up the upstairs window. I saw a black vehicle with no lights. I saw 6 to 8 men, coming around the side of my house, and I panicked. I came running downstairs, yelling for David to wake up. He was in the bedroom asleep, had been for about an hour and a half. When I got downstairs to the bottom of the stairs, he opened the door and he had a gun in his hand, and he said, 'Who is it?,' and I said I didn't know. He stepped back into the bedroom like he was going to grab his pants, but before he could do that, the door was busted down. He came around me, in the hall, into the den, and I was gonna come behind him, but before I could step into the den the shots were fired, and it was over."

Right. Obviously what this officer should have done was one of two things:

1. Ignore the 911 call and not even go out to the scene. I mean three guys making gang signs and flashing a gun in public. frick that. None of the Pigs business. He should have stayed away and avoided the entire incident.

Or

2. Wait until the guy pulls his hand out of his pants and fires off a couple of rounds at the cop. That way they not only know he actually has a gun but that it is loaded, works and he means to use it on them. Sure one or two of them might get killed but that is why they pay them so much. It is their job to be willing to be killed so that good citizens like this one can play games with them and make them have to figure out if he is actually armed or not.

Sheesh, bunch of fricking boot lickers up in here.

I disagree. There is no one that can get a shot off after I see what is removed from their pocket (cop has him in his sights). This isn't the Wild West of super fast gun fighters, and even then, the cop would still have time.

Wait to see what they are pulling out or what they are really doing. He shot that kid too fast. He was scared and it cost someone their life.

While this isn't the cold blooded killing that the article makes it out to be, it is still worse than Michael Brown, but you won't see riots and this won't be plastered on CNN for 2 months.

Forget about rioting. Why not even peaceful protests?

The cop panicked and over reacted.
