Dumb question but when you "back" a project on Kickstarter does that mean you just pledge the money or do you actually send them the money? I am just curious if that $50 video and supposed product got this guy $330k. What is to keep him from never going to production and just stealing the cash?

Looks like it has a solar panel on the front so it might last a good while.

ETA: Nevermind it doesn't but that would be a good idea to add. Maybe I need my own kickstarter

So what sets this apart from the other ice chests with radios on them? The blender?

That is a stupid product. He needs to put a faucet on it to wash the container that will be sticky after the first use, especially in the hot sun.

You only get charged if he hits his goal and I'm sure there's some sort of guarantee or reimbursement if he never goes to production.

What if he goes into, say, the Caymen Islands, with all the money?

That's a neat idea, but I'm very skeptical that it works the way they say it does.

So no mention of how well it does at actually keeping your food and drinks cold?

I can't count the numbers of times I have been out running at the track and thought to myself, dang I sure could go for a smoothie right now.

I'm more skeptical of what the company is going to do when one of the numerous gadgets eventually breaks.

I'm tired of seeing this stupid fricking thing everywhere. Blenders are stupid. Oh, it has a place for a Bluetooth speaker? Guess I don't need my Jambox that fits in a pocket. This thing is garbage.

I've made quite a few radio icechests and I have to estimate that thing weighing in at around 50 lbs.
