Also, watch out for falling dildos. Apparently there are a lot of them floating in the atmosphere.

I'm guessing they dated these bacteria fossils using radiometric dating. To tell you how full of shite carbon dating is, rocks from the Mount St. Helens eruption in 1980 when tested come back showing to be between 350,000 and 2.8 million years old.

Bottom line, just because a scientists tells you something does not mean it's fact.

that is a well understood inaccuracy of volcanic rock, and dumbshit, carbon dating isnt used for dating old earth rocks, so quit pulling shite out of your ass, carbon dating is only used for organic material within a range of max 60k years

and there are literally dozens of radiometric dating technigues using different isotopes that verify each other separately.

Radiometric dating is well understood, brilliantly used and very accurate.

What stood out to me

8-12 fatalities a year caused by sharks but 100 million sharks are killed per year due to harvest fins

The 136 degree temperature record was thrown out last year, so Death Valley now has the record with 134.

If we haven't bored into the planet very far, how do we "know" that the core is a solid iron ball?

I know right...right now there are several globally active conspiracies by all the scientist on the planet or more accurately about 98 percent fo them...global warming, evolution, and the age of the earth...those damn scientist, you just cant trust any of them I mean the money the make from grants and stipends is just too much for them to resist fudging numbers and data and tricking us all, even the ones that retest previous data...greedy dickless scientists

I get all my answers from AnswersinGenesis, the Discovery Institute and Fox News

I seem to remember a guy from Texas on Shark Tank proposing an energy generation/desalination process that would produce fresh water and gold as a by-product.

Here is a press release on the guy/proposed invention:
San Antonio Inventor Mark Sullivan to Pitch Revolutionary Energy Technology to Investors on ABC's 'Shark Tank' TV Show April 13 - Electric Generator Uses Spin of the Earth to Produce Renewable Energy

The guy was told:

How can you prove that the testing they are using to figure out something is hundreds of thousands of years old is accurate? There's nothing to compare the findings too.
How can they know how accurate they are without ever being able to accurately test the method.
It's not like they can pick up a rock and know that it is 2.7 million years old, then do the test and the test show it was in fact 2.7 million years old.
