I wonder why he's in Bellevue. That is the direct opposite end of the island from his apartment.

Above 120th street is not the same as walking through Queens or Hell's Kitchen anymore. A lot of that area is cleaned up with some nice rental properties sprinkled in.

I wouldn't worry too much about this one dude. If he had chosen to take the subway to the hospital... then all bets would have been off.

Quarantine quelled an outbreak in the 70s right?

I don't think. No doubt it's a good hospital but there are three arguably better equipped hospitals much closer to his apartment. If he went from Brooklyn to Bellevue then that would make more sense. I'm not sure where the ambulance picked him up. If they picked him up from his apartment, Bellevue doesn't make much sense to me.

I think B/C they designate 1 major hospital per city to handle cases like this. Limit the hospital staff taht could come into contact with the disease.

that's what i thought, too, but i didn't want to say that for sure.

regardless, frick this doctor for not self quarantining. dude didn't take a fricking uber from harlem to williamsburg. not a chance. that would be a $40+ ride. so he was probably on the subway. even if he wasn't, frick him for exposing a bunch of people to this shite.

Yes. That is how it usually is. Wouldn't be surprised if nyc had more than one though. He at least did the right thing by calling an ambulance. That way he goes in without exposing the entire er.

he didn't call the ambulance. he called doctors without borders who called the state department who called the ambulance. so he exposed the doctors without borders people to ebola over the phone.

Cuomo: "Bellevue was one of 8 hospitals in the state designated to take on ebola patients."
