My nephew is a genius, his father an Ivy. Kid is half retarded socially because his mom let's him play mine craft and the kids who are going to get the pussy are playing soccer, beating up younger kids for fun.

the refinery is a thing of beauty.

ingenius that he set it up so as it refined it into gas, he automatically used the gas in this enormous quarry he built to keep mining ore.

then when i saw the underground piping he built to keep the system water-cooled, i just did a 'peace out'.

i didnt even know how to respond to that.

You sound like a great parent...Yes, I am not a "fun" parent, I'm not their best friend..My kids have limits on their screen time, and if they ever get disgruntled, the games go off...They also emulate what they see in real life..If your kid see punching someone in the face over a game, he has seen that this is a legit reaction.

I am. My kids know to hold daddy's glass beer bottles with two hands when fetching them.

CAD703X - the creativity that game fosters is really amazing.

Yes. That's a WHOLE nother can of worms. Big sister was on first and thus created the 'world' they all play in. When they are playing solo it's fine. But they've build an elaborate kingdom of sorts in her 'world'. That's where the fighting happens.
This is actually like real life. They are experiencing frustration over the loss of something they cared for and built all their own. It's symbolic. Just tell your son that you're going to personally beat the stupid out of him for laying a hand on his sister.

This may have been suggested, but I am not going to reread the thread.

There are plenty of options to pussify the game.

First, take away admin powers from your oldest and make yourself a character that has that power. Basically the oldest can go into creative mode and screw over everyone.

You can turn off PvP so they can't beat each other up in game as well.

If the Minecraft is through PC/Mac, you have a nuclear option. There are mods you can put on the server to give land ownership. Basically you can section parts of the world to each kid. When you do this, that part of the world becomes theirs and no one can build/destroy/mine except the owner kid.

There are all kinds of mods to basically allow each kid to live in the same world and not be able to frick with each other if you don't want them to do it.

mike has said several times he does the same thing

and the kids saw how their brother was punished after he hit his sister

I'm just scratching the surface with this one. THe 4 year old hit the 14 month old the other day which was a first. I'm sure there is more of it to come for awhile.

Prolific gaming in childhood has shown to create social dysfunction and isolation.

Sure, it can promote many good skills, hand/eye, quick decision making, et all, but it needs to be done in moderation.

The behavior described in this OP is absurd.

Best answer I was hoping for right here. Last weekend I was like "I wish I had an Admin app on my phone to log in and e-bitchslap them all to play nice."

Yeah, because if you eliminate the video game, siblings will never cuss or fight with each other.

Do you even have kids?

But this one here hooked me. I was frickED and straight up jizzed on myself by the time Lara Croft was doing this shite in 3-D.

Very good question. My brother beat me up all the time and cussed me if I didn't give him half my fricking cheeseburger.

Yeah, there are plenty of things you can do via PC and I think there are some RCON type phone apps to allow you to give them temp bans and such if you really want that. You either need to take the time to learn how to install it all or find someone who knows and get them to hook it all up for you. Lots you can do to this game to lock it down more.

Oh dear baby jeezus I will look into that. Parents of multiple kids will get this. Sometimes they will be in different rooms and I'll hear "[name], STOP ITTTT!!" and I'm watching the LSU game or some shite I'm really into.

Would be nice to be in ghost/god mode without them knowing and I be like ZAP! and freeze any of them for 5 minutes.

What's really good parenting is when you rage quit, slinging remotes & dropping f bombs playing Halo with your 12 year old!

My 15 y/o and I worked on my ExMark's hydraulic pump belt for about two hours earlier this week. When we finally got it on, I stood up and screamed, "Yes, Bitch!!" and threw the vice grips on the ground. He laughed.
