Coming out of the closet advice

I've recently decided that I would announce my homosexuality, and embrace it. I'm coming to the OT because here I can sort of do a trial run. My family already has known but they've told me to keep it under wraps to avoid our church finding out.
We've done all we could to try to change. We've prayed for countless hours, and researched ways to become straight. Truth is I was born this way. Now my family will be very disappointed when I start telling people and openly embracing my sexuality, no idea what will happen on that front.
I might be going to Hell, I don't know? God made me this way, and it's hard to believe he would make me this way and then deny me heaven. I'm not worried about that now. I'm tired of feeling ashamed and hiding. Life is too short for that.
Any advice for coming out to friends and other family?

I dont think you're going to hell if you believe in Christ, but you weren't born that way. There is no gay gene.

My advice is don't let the religion part worry you, its not real. Other than that just go with it and live your life.
