How many cones should the bus driver put out when he stops to pick up some kids?

, ya know, people could've slowed down coming over a hill when it's fricking snowing.
5 cars in the ditch already and a scary collision and you're still pimping those Comcast clowns.

I'm glad you're morally right so when a pickup rear ends a school bus and kills a couple kids you can hold those 2 clowns blameless.

After all it's way too much trouble to hire ONE guy to stand at the hill with a slow sign on a pole.

I remembered being taught this in driver's ed and could not understand how this was a problem. I tried looking right above the hood and I couldn't do 10 seconds before it started to give me a headache.

I did.

But I've also been in crash scenes on the interstate where people had 1.5miles to react and you know what?

They started playing bumper cars.

The comcast worker isn't 100% right but the drivers are responsible for most of the blame. Don't drive with your head up your arse, don't go racing around blind curves or over blind hills on snowy days and this would be avoided.

They do that kind of shite around here all the time. You come over the crest of the "sunny" side of the hill with no ice, then the down side is covered in a layer of slush.

A car spun out down there should be a sign that it's a bad place to park your truck. They should have put a sign or even parked a truck at the top of the hill. People are cresting the hill at a reasonable speed, then hitting the brakes on ice to avoid the Comcast truck.

It takes 2-3 times the distance to stop on ice-covered level road. Down hill is unpredictable.

I think a sign at the top of the hill would have helped but at the same time the people are driving pretty fast in bad conditions over a hill that they cannot see what is on the other side.

I mean if was something else besides comcast most of those people would have still wrecked

The guy in the truck was going to wreck sooner or later he was going way to fast and then kept going once he went off the road.

You do realize that in your argument you disproved your reasoning? What if the bus stopped to pick up kids? "Carnage" still occurs. Is there a magic button that stops the wrecks from happening if the bus were stopped, or if someone was turning into one of those driveways?

This is a driver problem, like or dislike the company, the drivers are the problem. More cars get through than wreck in that video, why is that?

drivers should have been driving slower in the conditions, but Comcast is 100% of the blame and will be paying all of the damages to whatever insurance companies. That video is damning. I deal with drilling rigs and traffic control a good bit. They are very lucky no one was killed.

Negligence by Comcast once wrecks started occurring.

You're missing the point. The Comcast trucks are the ones causing the accidents, they are violating all the regulations that you should follow to set up a safe working zone.

Why didn't they signal at the top of the hill that they're working just ahead? Setting up cones not even 25 feet behind their trucks isn't going to do any good with the road conditions like this.

There are numerous violations these Comcast employees made. If there was a wreck, then yes, the same thing probably would have happened. But these guys could control the traffic, and they chose not to.
