Baby Nuts went nuts.

A Colorado inmate nicknamed "Baby Nuts," who has a long history of violence, started a fight with sheriff's deputies at a jail and injured two before he got hit with a stun gun, the sheriff's office said.

Baby Nuts — real name William Scott Pettigrew, 30 — was tossed in Larimer County jail Jan. 20 for charges of felony burglary, possession of burglar tools and violation of bail conditions, 7News Denver reported.

On Feb. 13, jail supervisiors decided to move Baby Nuts after he broke a piece of metal off a vent cover and used it to scrape the mortar between his cell's cinder blocks, officials said.

"Pettigrew made it clear he would not move willingly and would fight deputies if they tried to move him," David Moore of the Larimer County Sheriff's Office told KCNC.

When an emergency response team tried to nab Baby Nuts, he allegedly started fighting with them, punched two deputies in the face and tried to bite another. A deputy used a Taser on Baby Nuts and he was detained.

Baby Nuts is now held in a more secure location and might face assault charges.

The story of his prison fight was first reported this week. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation reportedly confirmed Pettigrew's nickname was "Baby Nuts," but did not explain. Bureau representatives were not immediately available for comment.

He has previous arrests for child prostitution, assault with a deadly weapon and drug possession, and is facing attempted murder charges in another county, the Coloradoan reported.
