I honestly don't have a problem with Travis. Don't follow him religiously, but more often than not I tend to agree with his takes.
Including this one.
Including this one.

I read that the NFL encourages but does not require players to stand for the anthem
ESPN-PRAVDA just scrolled it few hours ago so as not to offend any SJW's or BLM's out there.
Ironic, but right after that I saw for the 1st time an ESPN 30 for 30 about the late 60's early 70's New York Knicks basketball team. Great lesson for loser-liberals that created the majority of where we are today and how things were brought together by.
In a nutshell:
A story of Willis Reed (B), Cazzie Russell (B), Dave Debusher (W), Bill Bradley (W), Walt "Clyde" Frazer (B), Jerry West (W), Earl "The Pearl" Monroe (B), Phil Jackson (W) and others who came together during this timeframe to become the dominant "team" in the NBA. Following are a few highlights for the listening audience I mention above for a good learning of how "things can be">
* Cazzie Russel in '68 had to join the Natl Guard (while he was in NBA) and was assigned duty as a sniper to protect the DNC against anti-war demonstrators...this is stress that SJW's have no clue of
* Walt Frazer (I believe) made a statement in reference to comments about racism in America and about not standing for the National anthem at that time. His general thought was WTF, this is our country you people are doing this to "what are you doing?".
* Cassie Russell tells story of going back during early '70 to alma mata in Ann Arbor, MI during season. Driving back, stopped by "white cop" looking for an armed robber who "fit" his description...which naturally was BS. So he goes back to team in a season that will end with an NBA championship and is pissed at fellow whities on team and society in general. Frazer and coach discuss this and nominate Willis Reed to speak to him about this. In summary Reed "explains" to him that there is no white/black, this is a team sport and we win this way.
Beginning of a run for championships and all time greats.
No black power raised fists on this team and these gentlemen actually experienced real racial prejudice in their lives. Many of them went on to work with disadvantaged youth trying to help them get out of where they find themselves.

Now I can feel safe and justified in rooting against him and hating him and hope he's a fry cook in a few years.

I was actually at this game last night. The crowd didn't know and cheered him on his first drive after gabbert started. By his third failed drive, the boo birds were out.

nd the sad truth is this -- Colin Kaepernick's decision not to stand for the national anthem, at least thus far, isn't supported by any actionable or coherent political belief or tangible call to action. Worse than that, it's not just an insult to many people in this country, it's an insult to anyone with a working brain.

Let's try to remember that even though you don't agree with that and find it to be utterly detestable, that the whole point of this country was so he could have the choice to stand or not.
And we have a right to call an American football player making millions a pos for doing so.
