Jerome Hawley, 37, received a suspended eight-year prison sentence at the Gallatin County District Court Monday and was ordered to serve probation the remainder of his sentence, his attorney Marty Lambert told the Daily News.
He had already spent 264 days in jail while the investigation was ongoing.
“He was very respectful of the judge,” Lambert said about his client. “He was rather stoic about the situation.”

In May, the Idaho attorney general’s office filed sexual assault charges against Howard and two of his teammates at Dietrich High School, alleging that they held the victim down, shoved a coat hanger into his rectum and then kicked the hanger several times.
“Based on continuing investigation throughout this case — interviewing of witnesses, speaking with the victim and getting a better picture of what happened in this case — the state believes this is the appropriate charge,” Hemmer said in court, the Times-News reported. “It was egregious behavior, it caused this victim a lot of suffering, but it is not, in my view, a sex crime, which is why the state has amended this charge. We don’t believe it’s appropriate for Mr. Howard to suffer the consequences of a sex offender, but he still needs to be held accountable.”

How the frick is shoving a hanger up someones arse and kicking it multiple times NOT a sex crime??? You INTENTIONALLY sexually violated another individual and caused alot of damage. There HAS to be more to this story or someone shelled out some big bucks to get some favors. Im also wondering how much pressure was out on the victim to not want to pursue charges.
