The one question I have always had about the bombing was when McVeigh picked up the rental van, the clerk said there was a younger man with him. Who was this younger person?

Aberration in the Heartland of the Real: The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh Paperback – April 19, 2016
by Wendy S. Painting PhD (Author)

Presenting startling new biographical details about Timothy McVeigh and exposing stark contradictions and errors contained in previous depictions of the "All-American Terrorist," this book traces McVeigh's life from childhood to the Army, throughout the plot to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the period after his 1995 arrest until his 2001 execution. McVeigh's life, as Dr. Wendy Painting describes it, offers a backdrop for her discussion of not only several intimate and previously unknown details about him, but a number of episodes and circumstances in American History as well. In Aberration in the Heartland, Painting explores Cold War popular culture, all-American apocalyptic fervor, organized racism, contentious politics, militarism, warfare, conspiracy theories, bioethical controversies, mind control, the media's construction of villains and demons, and institutional secrecy and cover-ups. All these stories are examined, compared, and tested in Aberration in the Heartland of the Real, making this book a much closer examination into the personality and life of Timothy McVeigh than has been provided by any other biographical work about him

Glad they executed Mcveigh rather quickly compared to most inmates on death row.

Nichols should've gotten death instead of life

Dude, I watched a crazy documentary about McVeigh over the weekend.

LINK

One thing that I'm super curious about is the activity and purpose around the airstrip just south of Elohim City. I've been through those backroads time and time again and having a strip that remote in the 80's screams drugs/guns to me. A lot of people have made that assumption as well.

The German dude's connections to military and D.C. scumbags and him almost immediately going back to Germany are fishy as well.

With the Clinton whitewater investigation files being housed at the Murrah building and being "destroyed" in the blast and the physical evidence of the way the building collapsed there's things in the government account that don't add up.

I'm getting pretty sick of our government selling us a bill of goods and not just discovering the truth and telling us the facts.

The building pancaked because it had an open architecture in the front solely supported by massive columns. Columns located right where he parked the truck. It was pure happenstance. I remember seeing an interview where they said he admitted that he was stunned at the destruction when he first saw a photo. He had no idea it was going to be that bad.

FWIW, I am buddies with one of the guys in that first photo doing the perp walk with McVeigh. He worked for a different agency and the FBI made everyone else remove their ID before coming out to the cameras. The Bureau wanted all of the spotlight. My friend is the one who actually placed McVeigh into federal custody. He and a FBI agent were the first to arrive at the local jail after they brought McVeigh in from the traffic stop. They were getting ready to walk in and the FBI agent admitted that he hadn't arrested anyone before and wasn't sure what to do. So my bud says "I will handle it" and then walked in the room and said "Tim McVeigh you are under arrest."
