I don't even know where to start...

East Baton Rouge Council on Aging Executive Director Tasha Clark-Amar spoke publicly Wednesday for the first time since a family accused her of coercing their elderly grandmother to place Amar in charge of her estate for $500 a month.
Amar said she wants to withdraw from being named the overseer of the estate belonging to Helen Plummer, who died in early March at age 95, and that she never intended to accept the $500 a month payment for taking care of the estate. She acknowledged no wrongdoing, but also said she would not agree to oversee another client's will in the future and that she had made no similar agreements with other clients.

Wait, she never intended on taking the $500 per month, but filed suit to enforce payment.

Then why did she sue?

LOL
once that threat from the State Officials came, they knew she was f'd. They better bail before they find the dummy accounts and checks cashed by family members.
State should call for her resignation, and put a freeze on that money, and still do a major investigation into her, the coa, and family members books.

Does AG Landry need any authority to start looking into charges here?

I'm not a fan of Jeff Landry at all but I hope he goes in dry

Sure you didn't. Everyone will believe you. Nothing to see here.

She had it written into the will for Christ's sake.
She also violated the bylaws and ethics guidelines she was documented to have training on. This isn't a "oops, I won't do it again in the future" scenario. She needs to go. The attorney that was involved needs to go as well.

Should Amar pull out of overseeing the estate — as she said Wednesday she intends to do — the will names another Council on Aging employee as "alternate executrix." Plummer's will gives the alternate title to Trudy Bihm, who is the director of information and assistance management for the Council on Aging.
Still doesn't sound right, although at least (so far) it appears that Bihm did not have a hand in making the will.
