I don't go to work when I'm very sick cause 1) I'm putting already sick children at risk by exposing them to whatever I have and 2) I can't be a proper nurse to my patients if I'm not feeling well. I could not pick up on signs that a patient of mine is deteriorating because I'm distracted by my own sickness.

3) 12 hour shifts are beyond miserable when you are sick and I know my coworkers don't want to pick up my slack and hear me whine the whole night

He has a screw loose. I would consider letting the dude go permanently, honestly.

And as the person who's unable to take the cocktail of drugs that you probably take to make yourself functional, I say frick you for putting not only myself but my unborn child at risk.

When someone walks by me multiple times a day, literally hacking up a lung, is complaining of a fever, and shares the story of all the drugs that he's on to be able to be at work, that's inconsiderate, especially when you consider the fact that you're infecting other people with whatever you have.

ETA: I'm referring to people that show up to work with fevers, not a scratch on their arm or a chipped tooth. That's just dumb.

How much work is the guy getting done if he's crapping his pants and spending all day in the bathroom? Are there docking stations in the stalls? Go Home!

So after the project manager poopied his pants in the walk thru, did he go home and change? I'm just confused how he finished his day after this incident.

Someone with the knowledge and care could easily go through this guys post history and determine where he works.

The way he continually likes to mention he is the boss and runs the financial operations shows he is too much of a braggart to not have given away that information.

This should be in the employee handbook and on T-shirts

I respect someone for working while sick. He just shouldn't have told anybody about it and gone on about his business.

This is beyond ignorant. They should be sent home the first time with a warning and then suspended without pay followed by termination on the third offense. No excuse for putting other workers at risk and killing productivity by getting everyone sick.

we actually had a good number of folks that used to do this (me included)...finally, we all kinda came to the realization that we weren't getting shite done anyway and just passing the shite all around the office while there...

ultimately, we made it known that anyone who had any type of substantial illness needed to stay home...if you have something that has to be done, either get someone else to do it for you or work from home...

That doesn't change the fact that PHI was not given in any of his posts.
