Co-worker called me racist for making fun of Cam

He's a new guy, I'm his supervisor. All last week he was telling me how Peyton wasn't going out with a win. This morning I put a towel over my head and did the choke sign. He just starts going on a rant how all white men over 40(I'm 49)are racist and that's why we don't like Cam. My boss walks in and now I may have to go face HR....did I do something wrong here?
