probably not often...I am also not a fan of raising taxes though. You mentioned people not supporting a tax for this.

I pay a lot of taxes for things I don't use.

I'd vote for a bike lane honestly. Keep people safe and get them out of my way. I've paid for worse things.

I don't think the demand is there to justify it.

I doubt there's demand for entitlement programs to continue, yet they're still here.

I would rather bike lanes than to continue having taxes going for that

what exactly is a bike lane? a widened road painted for cyclist to ride?

You can't be serious?

It's a dedicated lane on the side of the road for bikes.

No. I would have no problem with bike lanes if cyclists were charged extra to fund that construction.

As a motorist I don't want my tax money to pay for a bike lane that I won't use since the majority of bycycle riders aren't forced to ride on the road.

There is highway / road where I live that has a nice paved track on both sides adjacent to the road for several miles on the shoulder.

Where do the cyclists ride? On the road itself.

But is it a BIKE LANE or just a wide shoulder where everyone throws their litter? The difference is a bike lane is kept clean and maintained because people use it. Bike lanes are also marked so people know to watch for bikes. Not necessarily true with a wide shoulder.

Well thats just dumb. If theres a paved shoulder, then I'll ride on it.

Does it have bumps/ plastic reflectors on it? Cause that'll play hell with road bike tires.

I understand how they work.

How they work isn't how I think they should work and I am allowed an opinion.
