It is amazing that you all can't see that big picture behind this. It really is sad. Let me break it down to you though:
Clemson, like other major universities in the U.S., has an investment portfolio that is based off of a certain demographic. Being that race relations in the south are little uneasy, Clemson has gotten out in front of this so that it won't cause any issues in the future. What they don't want to happen is any negative publicity to affect their athletic gravy train. That is why you are seeing more universities go this route.

You'd be shocked at how little most white people give a shite about race. I'm shocked at how blacks still felt so oppressed with a two term black president in office. If nothing else, Obama proved a black person--with a Muslim sounding name, even--can succeed in America. But the continuing excuses sure make it seem like blacks don't want equality, but superiority.

We understand Clemson athletics makes a lot of money. Was the football team clamoring for this? A lot of schools make football money.

And when are we going to address this blatant lack of diversity? Isn't diversity the most important thing in the country today? There is also a blatant lack of diversity in the NFL and NBA. NHL as well.
