So while I was drinking last night I stumbled across this. The lawsuit is against the above cruise lines for telemarketing calls to landlines and cell phones offering free cruises as promotions. This violated the TCPA and as part of the settlement if you received any calls between 2009-2014 offering you a free cruise you eligible for $$$$$. Every telemarketing call you got has a maximum payout of $300 and you can file a claim for up to three calls per telephone number that are included in their records with a maximum payout of $900.

I'm not the type of person to jump on this type of thing but I thought I would go ahead and see if any of my family's phone numbers were in their database and 3 out of the 5 were so I filed my claim which took under 5 minutes. I get these stupid fricking calls all the time, even to this day so $900 potential free dollars per number is pretty decent considering all you have to do is check and see if your number qualifies.

If you want to check and see if your number is in the suit go to this link and click the 3rd option down. LINK
Also check out the FAQ on the same link, it answers pretty much any questions you may have.

You'll get a check for $2.14 in a couple years when it settles

Sounds about right.

I just read it over as I checked to see if my number is on the list which it was.

Claims have until November to be filed. The final approval of the settlement comes early next year.

Max payout a total of 7 million. Which comes out to just over 23 thousand claimed calls before the awards start shrinking. Attorneys we're getting about 4 million.

So let's keep this quiet, fewer claims equals a bigger payout.

Imagine if it wasn't cash they were offering, but a cruise voucher.

I'm not seeing the phone numbers listed? Is it a search engine somewhere?

You and I were thinking on the same lines. They really need to go after Melissa from "Card Services."

With the amount she's called the members of TD we would be all millionaires.

Pick the 3rd option down, hit enter or continue, scroll to top of page, it will say if your number is in the data base.

Thanks. Got it. But my number wasn't listed. But my brothers number was on there so I made a claim for him. Hopefully he gets a nice surprise

my number wasn't on the list, guess I'm not trashy enough to be targeted by cruise lines.

Same here, almost always show up as a call from a local cell-phone number.

By entering your number in the search, you probably just got on 1000 telemarketing call lists.

Mine number wasn't included - but my parents' home number was. Not surprising... My grandmother was a sweepstakes-enterin' machine. Not a stamp on Earth she wouldn't lick or a "survey" she didn't have time to complete to get herself in the mix for whatever grand prize was out there.
