Not true. Detroit is with a doubt on the upswing. New mayor replacing the former corrupt office, support from the surrounding cities, and alot of "Rebuild Detroit" influence that is working across the state. There are plenty of new and nice restaunts and bars that attract both the local middle class and tourist, not to mention the city had plenty of history. The state of Michigan isnt going to just let its most prodominate city rot away.
